The Doctor’s Surgery is a new build on a tight site within the bounds of Shotley Bridge Hospital, providing accommodation for nine consulting examination rooms, together with associated Waiting, Reception and Office Facilities. It also includes a Pharmacy, Minor Treatment Suite and Nurse Practitioner Treatment Suite.
The building form is that of a two storey white rendered semi-circular building with windows of different shapes and sizes punctuating the façade. The dark grey roof edge parapet and windows compliment the major light rendered walls.
The two storey glazed entrance screen provides a definitive impact to the entrance and the central courtyard allows light to be admitted to all of the central rooms.
